Meeting of the Knights of Columbus

Grand Knights Report:

• Motion made to accept minutes as read. Accepted.

Treasurer's Report:

• $8,727.71 in our account.

Financial Secretary Report:

• $627.00 bill for Culture of Life Fund.
• People are asking about the Manarin account. We are working with them. The market is bad for everyone.
• Recommend to meet with Manarin agent more often.

Membership Director

• Rob Jettema thanked everyone for praying for his mother. She is doing better.
• Check out the new form 100's, they are in the kitchen.
• January 5, 2009 - next time for 1st Degree Certification Program. Follow up with Ray Honaker and officers.
• Pizza sales - Joe and Frog to contact see them Frog has the sign-up sheet. Wear your Knight's gear.

Church Director:

• John Johnson reported 21 orders - 34 boxes were sold.
• Net profit: $106.00
• John still has magnets to sell.
• See Bart to RSVP if you are coming to the Christmas party.
• Oakview Hy-Vee to cater food. $15/plate
• This Sunday is Christmas Santa Day.
• Doug Kelly purchased the poinsettias for the table centerpieces.
• Bring a gift between $5 and $10 for the party.

Rod Dolton:

• Reported all went well with the Deli International sales.

Don Schuneman:

• Reported all went well for cooking turkeys and cleaning the kitchen. Good job Frog and Crew.

Stephen's Center:

• Contact Marvin Sparks to sign-up to serve meals January 1, 2009 at the Stephen's Center.

New Business:

• Gifts for the priests: Fr. Pat will receive $100, the other priests will each receive $50. Motion made and seconded. Accepted.

Poinsettias:

• Bob Drewes recommended the poinsettias to family members of deceased knights.
• Keith suggested donating the poinsettias to the church.
• Bob Drewes will check with the decorating ladies to see if it is ok. Motion made and accepted to donate poinsettias to the church for decorating.

Doug Kelly:

• Read your Columbia Magazine. Keep Christ in Christmas.

Bob Drewes:

• Order Free Throw Championship brochure and forms. Ray Honaker will handle.
• Get our forms and reports in to keep us in good standing.
• Sponsor Corporate Communion.
• Silent Auctions for fund raisers.
• 4th Degree Ceremonial will change next year. Bob will keep us up to date on our activities.

Prayers:

• Pray for Jeff Reed's mother.
• Pray for the people of Mumbai.
