Meeting of the Knights of
Columbus

Ray opened the meeting at 7:15 pm with Decon Harold Sawtelle leading the prayer
Roll Call: Absent: Bob Drews, Don Shuneman, Bob Dana
Reading of the minutes: Motion made to skip. 1st Bob Jones 2nd Randy Riewaldt - motion passed.
Grand Knights Report:
- Ray thanked all who helped with the blood drive.
- Ray is also taking orders for new shirts.
Financial Secretary's Report:
- John Johnson discussed all the work he has been doing with members who are passed due and the moneys he has collected from them.
- He is currently processing Suspension for 10 Knights who have requested to be removed from membership, as well as 5 Knights who we are unable to contact due to no forwarding addresses available.
- Dues currently outstanding on the following:
20 - 3 years or more in arrears
31 - 2 years or less
- We received a letter of thanks from the Daughters of the Eternal Fathers who we helped pay some fix it bills with a check for $250.00.
- He suggested a motion to order new Tootsie Roll drive aprons with the new logo (Helping people with intellectual disabilities). 1st Randy R. - 2nd Ken Kass - motion passed.
- John has updated the member roster and is putting first degree information on the state web. He is also looking for a motion on paying the yearly liability policy. 1st Rod Dalton 2nd - Harold Sawtelle - motion passed.
Treasurer's Report:
- Needs motion to pay all the fish fry bills. 1st Joe - 2nd Fred McCoy
- Activity for February

Community Director's Report:
Darrell Henning has new date for highway clean up. Saturday April 24th probably in the morning until lunch. Rain date will be May 1st.
Membership Director's Report:
- Michael Downey introduced two new 1st Degree members

- Keep asking and buy Spunkmeyer cookies now - only $13.00!
Council Director Report:
Bart Braun says "yayaayay and thanks to all who showed up to help with the Fish Fry on Friday!" Over 1,000 people attended last week and we cleared almost $8,000. Father is going to be a happy camper when we write the Parish a check this year. Keep up the good job.
Grand Knights New Business:
- Ray went over the sheet that breaks it down in to shifts and positions for starters. Trying to make it a little easier and not so crazy. He also motioned to make the price for the blue t-shirts $10.00. 1st John Johnson - 2nd Randy Riewaldt - motion passed.
- Ray also talked about new high chairs. It was agreed 11 would do. 1st Randy Riewaldt - 2nd Bob Brown - motion passed.
Field Agent:
Doug Kelly said it looked like a war in the kitchen and a party in the hall! GOOD JOB WHAT A GOOD TIME! Make sure we thank the youths that were helping.
District Deputy:
- Bob Brown said Yaaaaaaaaaa on the fish fry!
- Thanks for all the help on the Regional free throw at Skutt
- 1st degree next month and at some time would like to have one in the social hall.
- Last major degree in the area for a while is April 11th at St. Gerald's.
- Thanks to Mike Downey and John Johnson for attending the recruitment training.
- Discussed the Marian Festival in Lincoln on March 27th.
- Reminded us of how and why we should work hard on achieving the Star Council and keeping Fr. McGivney's dream.
- Bob has developed a letter to be given out to new parishioners and RCIA candidates as a recruiting tool.
