Meeting of the Knights of Columbus

St. John Vianney Hall 7:00 p.m.

Grand Knights Report: 

• Blood Drive will be February 23, 2008, inside the building from 7:00 - 4:00, possibly. Larry Smith needs help in setting this up. Please call him to volunteer for this. Your help is needed and appreciated.

Treasurer's Report:

• $20,000 CD, $8,000.00 CD. We are putting a budget together, this is a work in progress. More to come.

Financial Secretary's Report:

• Thank you for participating in the Priest Appreciation Dinner.
• We received a Christmas card from Doreen, our Sponsored Child.
• Motion to raise dues to $30.00 or $36.00 a year was discussed. Amendment passed. The vote for $36.00 was: Vote For: 27, Vote Opposed: 17. The dues will be raised to $36.00 a yer. Approved.

New Business:

• Free Throw Basketball Contest sign-up is going on. The contest is set for January 26, 2008 at noon in the Parish Hall. Kids (boys and girls) 9 to 14 years of age can participate. Pizza and pop will be provided.
• One Rose-One Life: is January 26 and 27. Knights will be handing out cards after masses.
• Fish Frys beginning next month are Feb. 8, 15, 22, 29 and March 7 and 14. The sign-up sheet for volunteers is going around. We need help on Fridays to make our Fish Frys successful, especially, cleaning up. All help is appreciated.
• Greetings from Father Jim Sullivan thanking us for everything we've done. He continues to do well.

Committee Reports:

• Marvin Sparks reported about Stephen's Center. Knights were serving meals. Good Job Knights! Thank you Marvin for a great job heading this up.

• Please try to recruit New Members, ask people to join our brotherhood. Check Website for Major Degrees, Times, Dates and Places.
