Meeting of the Knights of Columbus

St. John Vianney Social Hall 7:00 p.m.

Minutes accepted for December 2008 meeting.

Grand Knight's Report:

• Thank you card from Win Lander's family on the passing of his father.
• Free Throw Contest will be fourth Sunday - January 25th, 1:00 pm.
• Dues are due, cards are here. Pay after meeting. Shirts are in also, see Ray.

Treasurer's Report:

• $36,000 budgeted for 2008. We made $10,000 more than last year.
• Balances: checking account has $6,270.50 and FAF has $1,356.00

Financial Secretary Report:

• Annual dues are now due, statements will go out if you don't make your $36.00 payment tonight.
• We have a $515 bill for shirts. They are in. Please pay for them when you pick them up.

Membership Director

• March 2, 2009 is the next 1st degree. Be here at 5:30 to start at 6:00.
• Dan Vodicka has transferred to our council from St. Gerald's. Welcome Dan.

Church Director:

• Bart thanked everyone for coming to the Christmas Party.
• Fish Fry will start in February. Ray and Bart will meet in next two weeks to get this going.

Old Business:

• T-shirst are in. See Michael Downey to pick up and pay for them.

New Business:

• Larry and Chris said they would like to thank everyone for all the gifts and cards received at the Christmas Party.
• Making pizza's for Super Bowl Sunday, January 24th at 8:00 am. Frog proposes $14 for cheese pizzas and $16 for all others.
• Doug Kelly proposed if we get a person to join we buy their pizza. Keith Soltis amended this to get the council to pay for it. Council ok'd this.
• Tom Block donated a 2000 Harley Davidson motorcycle to sell for a parish fund raiser. More details to come.

Doug Kelly, Field Agent:

• Great job to Larry Smith for all his hard work on this council and all the good he will do in Orlando, Florida. Great job Larry.

District Deputy Report:

• Bob Brown reported St. Gerald's will be hosting the District Free Throw contest on February 1st at 1:00 pm.
• The Marian Hour Prayer will be February 9th and 10th. See Harold Sawtelle for details.
